HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

March 5, 2007 — 24 Comments

Join us in wishing Agent Tim a fantastic 17th birthday!!!

Tim isn’t sure that 17 is such an exciting age. What do you think? If you’re 17 (or remember being 17!), how about some encouragement about how to make this a year that counts in the Kingdom of God.

We are so excited about what God is doing, Tim!

We love you,
Dad, Mom, Nick, Nathan, Abbey, and Jonathan

  1. Wahoo! This is exciting! Last year on your birthday I remember thinking, “I didn’t know Tim was so young”. However, time has flown and this year I can’t believe you’re already 17.

“Let not mercy and truth forsake thee. Bind them about thy neck, write them apon the table of thine heart.” -Proverbs 3:3.

    Happy Birthday, Tim!

  2. Happy Birthday Tim! Turning 17 is very exciting, trust me ;) My only words of encouragement for you would be to trust God. I know that sounds clichéd, but for me, 17 was a year that included lots of big decisions about my future. Having faith and trusting in God was the best piece of advice many people gave to me…so I’m just passing it on to you!

May God continue to bless you Tim :D

  3. Heh…having been 17 very recently, let me tell you that, thus far, that’s the best year of my life! Seriously, God works so much about your future during this year (speaking to culture, huh? ;) ), that it’s just an AMAZING experience. Embrace the moment…enjoy every second, because being 18 sneaks up on ya and then you’re a Level 5 geezer. :)

In the Peace of our Master!

  4. Happy Birthday Tim!!!!

I can’t really say how awesome being 17 is….for the simple fact that I’m not (and won’t be till next year :P). However, I *can* say that God will use you greater at 17 than He did at 16 if you continue to trust and follow Him.

God’s got a purpose for your life, and He won’t lead you away from it with getting a year older – learn from the past and depend on God to lead you through the future and I think that 17 is going to be bigger than you thought!

God Bless Tim! I look forward to seeing how God uses you this year!

  5. Being 17 is just one more year closer to being 18. I turned 17 last November, and for me it was a time to really start thinking hard about my future. What career choice I’m gonna make, if and when I’m going to go to college, etc. etc.

Use this year to think, prepare and throw in some fun.

  6. Wow! I’m still amazed when I’m reminded of your age! But that’s what’s so great about serving our God. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are, it’s what you’re doing with the strengths and abilities that He’s given to you. It’s another year for serving God with your everything! I’m looking forward to seeing Him work in your life!

  7. Happy birthday Tim!

  8. Happy birthday! I think 17 is an awesome age! It’s definitely an age with big decisions! God really used my 17th year to help me trust Him more fully and to grow closer to Him. Keep Christ as your focus and He will use you to further His kingdom!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

  9. 17! Gosh. Wait till you’re 37.

Be happy, young man, while you are young,
and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.
Follow the ways of your heart
    and whatever your eyes see,
but know that for all these things
God will bring you to judgment.

    Ecclesiastes 11.9

  10. I’m running out the door, but I had to add myself to the list of friends wishing you a very happy birthday! May God bless you (and use you) mightily in this upcoming year.

  11. Happy Birthday Tim!

At any age we can be used by God if we will simply submit to him and follow him, and as you can do that while you are 17 enjoy your year! You will never be 17 again so use it wisely for God.

    Once again, Happy Birthday!

  12. Happy Birthday Tim! I just turned 17 myself a few months ago, so I have no astonishing advice to pass along. So far this has been a great season of spirital growth in learning to lay everything at God’s feet and trust Him in everything, big and small. There’s a lot of big decisions coming up at this age!

This is a verse I’ve picked to key in on this year: “One thing I have desired of the LORD, that I will seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple.” – Ps. 27:4 Applicable no matter what age you’re at, but I picked it to focus on especially this year. :D

  13. Happy Birthday, Tim!
Don’t be down on seventeen—it’s been the most exciting year of my life, by far. God has done so much in me in the past seven months that I couldn’t even begin to tell it all—I pray the same will be true for you!
Our God has used you mightily already, and I join the ranks of your many admirers who can’t wait to see how He will continue to expand your influence in this next year of your life. Redeem the time! Remember, it’s the little foxes that ruin the vinyard.
    God’s best to you, brother,
    Abigail :)

  14. Happy 17th, Tim! May God richly bless this year of your life!

  15. Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Tim. Happy Birthday to you!

I hope you have a blessed birthday and look forward to reading more of your blog as you continue to grow and mature in Christ.

    Your Brother in Christ,
    Joshua

P.S. My BD is in 3-4 weeks! I will be 17 too!!!

  16. Happy, happy Birthday, Tim!!
    17 is a great age…trust me – I know! :) When you’re nearing 18, then it gets scary. ;)
God has used you and your blog mightily in my life and I thank Him for that. May He continue to bless you and keep you always close to Him!

    In Christ,
    Erika

  17. Happy Birthday, Tim! :-) May God continue to bless you during this new year. Keep seeking after Him!

  18. Happy Birthday Tim!

God bless and may He use you mightily!

  19. Happy Birthday, Tim!!

I just turned 17 last month, and so far it’s awesome! I’ve grown so much in the Lord this past month with just learning to trust Him in all circumstances small or great.
Proverbs 3:5-6- “Trust in the Lord with all your hear and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

May God bless you this year as you continue to grow in the Lord.
(I just noticed that Jordan used the same verse as I did. :) Oh well.) Happy Birthday! :)

  20. God’s blessing to little brother in Christ TIM! At the age of 17, I was still a sinner, looking for God in the Washington DC area in the forbidden things of the occult…dying of epilepsy and brain damage and considered a human vegetable by one of my doctors, both had given up on me. I was lost, dying and going to hell…UNTIL JESUS STEPPED IN AAT THE AGE OF 18! I attended a little church outside Washington DC, heard the GOSPEL FOR THE FIRST TIME

  21. Happy birthday Tim (and sorry for being so terribly late)!! Someone once told me that the odd years were always the best ones, and while at 18 I’m inclined to disagree with that, I hope it’s true for you, and that you have an awesome year. God bless!

  22. Happy Birthday, Tim!!!

  23. What?? You’re only 17? Lol, sweet. Have a great year, man! And yes this is like…a week late, but I hope you had a great birthday!

  24. You just turned 17? You seem so smart and together. When I was 17 I was a total gooberhead. But I did have fun and you will too. You even have Christian music to listen to now. All we had was Petra and the Rez Band. Have a great year!
