Episode 19: Brent Beshore — Permanent Equity CEO & Founder
CEO and founder of Permanent Equity on why he rejects 90-day plans, started a 30-year private equity fund, and the truths that have changed his life.
A personal note behind the scenes: this one was special. Like, really special. Since the inception of this podcast, I haven’t ever traveled to go meet a guest. However, when the opportunity to spend a few days in Columbia, Missouri popped up I didn’t hesitate. After a long bout with COVID that wrecked my initial plans, I finally made the journey to what most consider the “fly-over” state, landed in St. Louis, and drove the 2 hours to the small but booming town of Columbia, home of Mizzou — and Brent Beshore and Co.
I was so honored to spend some personal time with Brent at dinner, and to hear and see him in action. I walked away a better leader even with just 24 hours of exposure. Much of what I learned came through in this podcast episode, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt Brent was one of the smartest people I have had the chance to spend time with. But unlike many other incredibly intelligent people I’ve been around, Brent was one of the few who didn’t make you feel stupid being in your presence.
His humility is real.
I hope you enjoy this episode with Brent, because not only is he doing something special in the world, but he’s just an incredibly special human being that makes you more grateful and excited about doing business. You can listen below, and check out all the show notes as well.
